Port Glasgow
Historically the Clyde's shipbuilding port, now the most affordable entry point into Inverclyde with good rail links east.
Port Glasgow is the eastern gateway to Inverclyde and generally the cheapest place in the district to buy or rent. Newark Castle sits on the shore, and the town is closest of the three to Glasgow by rail. Regeneration has been steady rather than dramatic.
